In May of 2021, I took a test to be a certified Amateur Radio operator.  I've always been curious about the art.  I already knew a great deal about many of these concepts, but I was amazed at what I didn't know.  This was the original Internet, before DARPA Net was even conceived. And if the Internet ever fails, radio waves will continue to bounce off the atmosphere (and even the moon) and allow us to communicate.  I wanted to learn about that, so my new hobby began.  Currently I am primarily using the 2 meter and 70 cm bands, and DMR (Digital Mobile Radio).  I am slowly building an HF radio so that I might start bouncing signals further out on the 10 and 12 meter bands.  I'm just starting to scratch the surface.
